i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday; this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any--lifted from the no
of all nothing--human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

tank and fishie

Sadly, I must share that we lost our little love bug today to FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). This is a terrible disease with no treatment and no cure. We were lucky to love our little guy for three months, and both of us humans as well as Ashley, Diamond and his brother Dozer, are the better for having heard his purr.

Push Play:

Tuesday, October 13

After several artistic upgrades to the kitchen, I was left with the ugly 70's laminate counters. I would love to redo them all with gorgeous stone, but until the lottery fairy drops in I have to make do. So I did a sponge paint to look like faux granite, then 2 coats of automotive grade sealant. Looks pretty cool. I was nervous to have the kitchen too dark, but it seems okay. Next on the list is the faucet and the light over the sink. I would also love to put in a nice bay window over the sink but still waiting on that fairy...
